Covered in rust,

but usable with some love and care.

Walking through a thrift store,

can't resist a good deal.

You pick me.

I did it. I’m home.

Polished & repaired.

I’ve never felt so special.

Wait. Things aren’t as they seem.

No intention to keep?

Use and lose. Repair and donate.

A hobby, a tease.

To learn how to love?

To learn how to care.

Project complete.

Left in a cardboard box outside the motion-sensing doors.

I'm going back.

Discarded again.

Better than ever before.

If someone found me while dull, busted, and bruised.

Shouldn't be long.

Patience ahead.

In here I have no purpose.

I was made to be used.

No longer a project. Ready to do.

Buy it for life? All you'll ever need?

It's too soon to tell, but I'm the best I can be.

I'll choose you, if you choose me.

If the job is always changing, constant rearranging.

Or if there's dread inside your head.

I'll be here - an ever constant.

Ready to put in work.
