Wiroll.com + Linkedin.com/in/wiroll — attempting to arrange sentences in amusing ways since ‘87
Hello.
My name is Craig Wiroll.
I have performed "storytelling" worldwide - for groups of one and auditoriums full of paying humans. I have been creating obscure content since I can remember - mostly published anonymously in the "early internet" era.
I am formally trained in storytelling, comedy writing, and improv via Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City, The Groundlings, and more. But I honestly learned a lot more just being a weird dude in a strange world.
In 2023, I started the content creation project TravelTwerps - traveling to Argentina, Peru, Iceland, New Zealand, Italy, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, and more - partnering with brands to create marketing materials, experience authentic culture by partaking in workstays, and creating lifelong stories. In the past, I have lived & worked in Senegal, West Africa as a Business Development Agent in the Peace Corps, served as a Career Coach for the Wisconsin School of Business at UW-Madison, worked as an Executive Director in Wisconsin, and as a Portfolio Manager for the Mozilla Gigabit Community Fund in Silicon Valley.
In 2016, I worked at The White House as part of the Domestic Policy Council in Washington D.C. Prior to working in Washington, I received my Master of Public Administration degree at University of Oregon. I also received a BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
My passion involves being active in community & public service— through storytelling, policy, art, organizing, and more.
In 2015, I was granted a fellowship to live, work, and learn in Thailand with Save Elephant Foundation. I am also a proud devotee of national and community service and a two-time AmeriCorps (VISTA & National Civilian Community Corps) alumnus.
Most of all: I'm a cat guy.
